Beaches in Cabo San Lucas

It is no secret that Cabo San Lucas has the most beautiful beaches in the entire peninsula of Baja California. Although other Baja towns and cities such as La Paz, Ensenada and Loreto have magnificent bays and beaches as well, there is no place in the entire peninsula of Baja that can compete with the pristine and breathtaking shores and beaches found no where else on Earth but in Cabo. And the millions of tourists and vacationers who come to Cabo every year specifically to enjoy its beaches and seaside activities are living proof that Cabo is home to many of Baja's most amazing seaside treasures.

Playa El Medano

Also known as Medano Beach or the Dune Beach, Cabo's Playa El Medano is known as the safest beach in the entire town. The Medano beach features clean, white sand shores which is constantly dotted with a beach blanket under the shade of a brightly-colored umbrella and crystal clear waters where tourists from different countries swim and snorkel along the shallow waters. Farther out sea, you could see the white sails of several dozen yachts and sail boats gliding along the surface of the turquoise blue waters.

This beach in Cabo is a favorite destination of vacationing families because of its wholesome and safe surroundings. The Playa El Medano also reels in lots of very youthful visitors because of the many seafood festivals and beach parties held here from time to time.

Playa Chileno

Known for its spectacular coral reefs, the Playa Chileno or Chilean Beach in Cabo San Lucas is a favorite haunt of scuba divers and snorkeling buffs. Who wouldn't enjoy submerging under its clear blue waters where you would suddenly find yourself transported to a world of unique rock formations, vividly colored marine plants and corals, and millions of jewel-colored fishes and underwater creatures.

Lover's Beach

Playa del Amore or Lover's Beach might just be one of the most popular beaches in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California. Imagine towering rock formations that seem to have sprung out of the powdery fine white sanded shores contrasting magnificently with the vivid blue of the ocean and you would have a picture of white Lover's Beach looks like. And up above these unique rock formations that rise several storeys up the ground are flocks of noisy seagulls lending their voices to the wind along with the relaxing swish of palm tree leaves and the gentle lapping of the waves. Because of the heavenly beauty that Lover's Beach has and the secluded and romantic atmosphere it offers, it is very popular among couples, honeymooners and sweethearts making it a great honeymoon destination.
